The work explores urban hybridity in a contemporary African setting.

The visual narrative depicts a mutating urban fabric; reflecting the fluidity of the modern condition which gradually infuses a traditional society. It absorbs the vestiges of a colonial past, and transforms the notions of place and identity.

Historic territories are recodified as the imaginary shifts, defined by global and local claims and liquid perceptions of what was and what should become.
