Reflections on migrating cultures and exchange.
This event will take you on a philosophical journey that echoes the myriad of rhythms and voices, perspectives and aspirations that create a pan-African sense of place.
Against the background of the Zeitz MOCAA, a temporal space will be created to change, exchange and transform; reflecting the diverse cultural backgrounds that mark the contemporary identity of Cape Town.
The session will actively engage the audience to construct a collective story, echoing collective and individual memory in a space of multi-histories and identities.
What does it mean to contribute to a new space that is not your home?
How can we collectively reflect the diverse identity of the city of Cape Town?
How could we construct a new collective memory from disparate geographies or histories?
The journey will be recited and filmed as a reflection of new memories in the making.
